Refining a digital domain - TrademarkVana
TrademarkVana began a redesign of its entire web application with the vision of launching itself again in 2021. The goal of this particular project was to identify any usability issues with the beta release and determine the critical features to prioritise for the next iteration of the product
PROBLEM BREAKDOWN
Currently, the webpage has a lot of content that is unorganized and difficult for current users as well as potential clients to understand. It needs to be properly structured, and have visible CTA's to have a proper architecture.
"As a Product owner, I want my clients & users to easily understand my website & the services that I am providing , and use them for protecting their products."
HOW MIGHT WE??
These are some of the perspectives that we thought of to understand better, what the current stakeholders feel about the website and the competitors in the market:-affinity mapping, personas, mixed method research, empathy maps, competitor analysis, wireframes, usability testing, high-fidelity prototypes, visual design, user testing, design strategy.

USER PERSONA & SITEMAPPING
Based on the insights, we defined a user persona to make sure that I stay connected to the audience we design for at every stage of the design process. I also created an empathy map to capture the needs and frustrations of these users
After running through some site ideas for navigation, we sketched out different ideas and came up with a sitemap to follow up on:-

A/B Testing
I began designing the " Onboarding process" by creating a user flow for the feature. After establishing a flow, I created low-fidelity sketches of each page and then, from these sketches, transformed them into low-fidelity wireframes using Figma. After creating my own designs, I collaborated with other designers for feedback and ideation to create further iterations of the UI. Below are samples of the user-flow, lo-fi sketches, and wireframes.

We decided to try to design 2 versions of the social media platform. The first version, or version A, would focus on just certain features and improve some user interface layouts for better user experience.
Meanwhile, version B would have a completely new visual design and concept, which focuses on giving a fresh upgrade of the current social media platform and a whole new user experience.

RETROSPECT
I'm grateful to work on such an amazing project from the very beginning. As this was the first large-scale project that I worked on, I learned to collaborate with other designers, product managers, and engineers and hand off final deliverables. I challenged myself to come up with different ideas, understand user perspectives and align them with product usability by presenting them to my team, and testing them with users. If there was one thing I could've done to improve is to test out the final version after launch and get some more feedback on it to make it better.
